no, not the movie. me.
patrick and i were playing "extreme basketball" in the backyard. as in no rules: pwedeng magsipaan, mang-hug, magkilitian, agawan. you can use your elbow, knee, limbs, even "trash" talk (pero di naman masyado. i am talking to a 12-yr-old afterall) any way you can. dribbling is not necessary. goal: make a basket at whatever cost. funny noh?
i thought so, too. then, dumating si annie (yaya namin ni patrick). we started talking, then i pointed to my balete "bonsai". grade 4 pa yun, and it's still alive! hindi na rin siya bonsai. para lang siyang pinutol na branch with leaves sprouting from it. anyhoo... when i mentioned "balete", DUN-DUN-DUN. annie launched into a very comprehensive story-telling mode.
i now know how to identify an aswang, how not to be a mananananggal, how to get the "lana" or oil from an aswang you angered, where the "aswang barrio" of capiz is, what a kapre looks like and what it does, and what to do when you're being chased by any of the monsters i mentioned (nothing). sounds weird, i know. but you should also know that i'm chicken. beri beri beri chicken.
then, i logged onto ym. rach sent me a msg! she said go here:

then click on all the objects, paulit-ulit, until something happens.
so i tried. 6 times, and counting. but i can't get past the "get inside" sign. when you do, tell me what happens. oh, speakers are a must. sabi ni rach.
and she sent me another link! it's a beautiful love song. then, in the middle of the song, there's a shriek, then the ugly ugly face of a monster girl appears. i yelled, jumped from my seat, ran away from the computer, and refused to return until patrick exited the window. chicken.
finally, i tried, once again, for the 7th time, the earlier link rach sent me. i called annie to accompany me because patrick is a chicken-in-denial. so annie is with us. yehey! i click "get inside". then i click objects. so freaky!!!! after clicking one thing, i quit again. can't take it!!!
then i said "no more". no more frightening myself. then annie tells her ghost stories again!!! of our house! i yell and beg for her to stop, but no. she doesn't stop. she tells many ghost stories. apparently, when i was young, i had third eye. i saw many things. huhuhu. anyway, annie continues to tell scary stories. i'm scared like hell. then i almost cried when she told me she saw a "kid" (if you know what i mean) who wanted to come into our house. huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu. can't breathe!! can't stop shaking!!
when i was younger, i loooooooooved (note: past tense) watching horror movies. as in! i luvluvluvluv it. ako pa nangunguna sa pagpili ng pinakanakakatakot na movie. i LOVED telling ghost stories (i have a good collection of those, too). i loved it when people would turn the lights off, then i'll tell scary stories, 'coz i find it funny to see people get scared.
how did i become so chicken?!?!
finally, annie leaves. and now, i'm writing my blog. still scared, still paranoid. did i hear something crash...?
i won't be able to sleep...
anyway, some *toink* moments for you:
*kyle and i were supposed to meet for lunch. then MADI comes along (to my and kyle's dismay. lol)*
madi: wait, i have to go. may class pa 'ko ng 2:30.
kyle: GO! kanina ka pa pinapaalis eh. (i'm not very sure if this was a joke)
madi: lang hiya ka! ang sama mo! sige ka, HAHANAPIN KITA!
kyle and i: ...
madi doesn't speak filipino very well. we still don't know what she meant.
*sab and her teammates talking about her math genius teammate in tennis*
sab: e diba sobrang talino nun sa math?
friend: kaya nga pangalan niya "aritmetiko" eh.
me: ARITMETIKO?!
friend: oo. magsama sila ng mga kapatid niyang si NUMERO at MATEMATIKA.
that's not a joke.
la na ko maisip eh. that's it for now. going back to UP is fun, but sembreak is more fun.
i'll end it here. someone's begging me to go with him to the cr. sabi ko na he's also chicken eh.

I remember myself with your kwento about kyle and madi. minsan kasi pag humihirit ako ng ganun parang joke pero minsan seryoso... haha!
my barkada in CSB are all like: "Naka-reserve na yung Harry Potter for my High School friends. Ibang movie na lang panoorin natin pag gumimik tayo"
ako naman: "It's ok. I have no plans of watching it anyway."

*clings stubbornly to gryffindor scarf* (which by the way, i wear so much these days coz of the cold weather that actually allows me to wear HP scarves unlike some people who live in hot climates and thus have no use for nice slytherin scarves...)
